Isabelle Marie Birdsong

Isabelle Marie Birdsong, beloved Matriarch of our family, passed away December 6, 2017 at her home in Mesa Arizona.   She is survived by her sweetheart, of 63 years, Sammy Birdsong; daughters: Margie (Carl) Vance, Domereen Birdsong; son, Sammy (Ruth) Birdsong; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marsha Birdsong; brothers-in-law: Melton Saiz and Richard Stewart.   She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Nadine Davis and Helen Petty.   Isabelle was born on November 2, 1928 in Alamosa, Colorado. She moved with her family to Show Low in 1961. She owned and operated the White Mountain Cafe for many years. Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and golfing in the White Mountains.   The public viewing and friends’ calling will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday December 15, 2017 at Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low. Her funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Show Low Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1401 W. Deuce of Clubs, in Show Low, where an additional viewing time will begin one hour prior.    In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 2020 E. Woodside Court, Gilbert, AZ 85297 in her name.
