Scott McLaws

March 23, 1976 — November 26, 2017

Our beloved Husband, Father, Son, and Brother, Wallace Scott McLaws, was born on March 23, 1976 in Flagstaff, Arizona.  He returned to his Father in Heaven on November 26, 2017.    Scott was raised in Joseph City, Arizona.  He served a two-year Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Scott married his sweet wife, Amanda Jane Davidson; they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.  Scott and Amanda started their family in Tooele, Utah.    Scott lived with his family in Rapid City, South Dakota for ten years before relocating to Heber, Arizona where he founded Premier Auto Body and Paint.  Scott enjoyed rock climbing, hiking and four wheeling.  Scott was the happiest when he was serving the people, community, family and church.  Scott’s energetic life revolved around his family.    Scott is survived by his beautiful queen; their children Jordan Brett, Kimberly Ann, Kaylynn Jane and Megan Brooke McLaws; his parents Robert Neil and Colleen McLaws; siblings Robert Kyi (Jorgena),  John Lynn (Dawn), Debbie Colleen (David) Woodside, Towanda Dawn (Kelly) Heape, Roy Burr (Terri), Bruce Lyle (Shawna), Twila Sue (Mark) Mumford, and Alonzo Neil (Shari).   Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wallace and Mildred McLaws, and Lyle and Myrl Whipple as well as a nephew, David Brett Woodside.   A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Heber Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1858 Highway 260, Heber with an additional viewing from 9:00 A.M to 10:30 A.M. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the Joseph City Cemetery in Joseph City, Arizona.   In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church Humanitarian Fund, https://www.lds.org/topics/humanitarian-service/help?lang=eng&old=true, in Scott’s name.
