Andrew Chavez Luna

Andrew Chavez Luna went to be with the Lord in the early morning hours on November 14, 2017 at this home in Lakeside, Arizona.  He was born on November 6, 1943 in Winslow, Arizona to the late Eusebio and Guadalupe (Chavez) Luna. Andrew enjoyed his line of work keeping his hands dirty working for Apache Construction and the White Mountain Apache Tribe for 32 years.  He also enjoyed hosting foreign exchange students.On October 30, 1970 Andrew married the love of his life, Julie.  They just recently celebrated their 47 years of marriage.Along with his wife Julie, Andrew is survived by his daughters, Joann (Conrad) Olivas of Winslow, Kim (John) Whitthauer of Minnesota, Nadia (Stefano) Parenti of Italy; grandchildren, Jack Vincent and Ava Grace; brothers, Max Luna and family, Gabriel Luna and family, Barbara Douros and family.  He was preceded in death by his parents Eusebio & Guadalupe Luna, Edward Luna, Frances Luna-Ackerman, Anna Luna-O'Connell.A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 Monday, November 20, 2017 at St. Mary of the Angels, 1915 S. Penrod Lane, Pinetop, Arizona with the Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 10:30 A.M., Concluding Services and Inurnment will be held at Angels Rest at the St. Mary of the Angels Columbarium.
