— Patricia "Anne" Seal, a long-time resident of the Lakeside area, died Tuesday the 19th of September 2017, at her home. Born in 1939 in Monroe, MI., Anne studied and became a Registered Nurse. She married and had two children. She did her Nursing in a couple of hospitals in Flint Michigan. She continued her education at the University of Detroit in the field of Psychology. After college, she left nursing and went into private practice as a Psychotherapist. In the early 80's, she met and married Glen Seal and moved to Tuscon, AZ. Together they built and opened a dog kennel named Kachina Ranch Kennel. They retired to their "home in the woods" in Lakeside, AZ. During her retirement Nana Anne, as she was known by the school children, helped kids with their reading. After Glen passed away, Anne found a Dingo dog named Nick. She trained him to be a Therapy Dog and together they comforted and brightened people's days. She also joined a knitting group known as the Knitwits. She had a presence that could light up a room. She is survived by her son David Maurer, her daughter Kathy Hamner, older brother Charles Cuson, younger brother William Cuson, step son Dale Seal, step daughter Debbie Whitmore, granddaughters Cayla Hamner, Lisa Diaz and Regina Seal-Mar, grandson Scott Seal and great grandchildren Sonny, Kyla and Nova. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Seal and her sister Jean Pfleghaar.
