David Brice Simpson

June 4, 1985 — October 16, 2017

David Brice Simpson passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 16, 2017.  He was born with a smile on his face on Tuesday, June 4, 1985 in Columbus, Georgia to Montie Simpson and Carol Mast.  David met the love of his life when he was 16 - from the first kiss, David and Lisa knew they had found their soul mate, they were inseparable.  From that day forward they couldn't be away from each other for a day without freaking out.  They had a different, special kind of love.  David told his mom that he was going to marry Lisa. They even had a mock wedding in Carol's living room.  There was nothing that David and Lisa could not overcome. They had literally been though everything a couple could go through and together they always came out on top.David and Lisa have two beautiful daughters, Sage and Isabella.  He was happiest when spending time with all three of his girls.  He was the best Dad a child could ask for. He always knew what to say to them whether they were upset or in trouble. He made sure he never left a room without leaving a smile on their faces.  He would never let them fall asleep without a hug and a kiss.  David taught his girls to stick up for themselves, teaching them self-defense, so much that his oldest daughter, Sage, knocked him into a tree. Bella, his youngest, always loved to play fight with him.  He had nicknames for each girl, Bella was his "Buddy Buddy" and Sage was his "Little Dork".David was a hardworking man.  He was employed with Smithfield Pig Farm in Snowflake, AZ.  He had a passion for his pigs. He cared for the pigs and was able to make a career out of it.  David also had a passion for his motorcycle.  He loved riding and said it made him feel alive.  He loved to rev the engine for the kids.  He loved history and everything he learned he passed along happily.David was always an outgoing individual. He didn't care about the rules or getting into trouble.  If it made himself, his family or one of his friends happy, David was going to do it regardless of the outcome.  He taught us how be that way and encouraged us to be our true selves.David always put his family first. All he wanted was for them to be happy and he did a great job of showing this.  He loved to play pranks in the house.  He loved to going fishing, camping, swimming, lizard catching at any given chance.  His favorite time of all was family movie night where he and his three girls could take turns cuddling each other.  David has always said the difference between us and other families is the amount of love that was in our house.  We were all always saying how much we loved each other and couldn't say it enough.  David cherished every friendship he ever made, and made sure his friends knew how much he appreciated their friendships.David was the type of man that could quote the Bible.  He taught his girls everything he knew. He was often found quoting Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, Genesis 2:18 and Proverbs 18:22.  David is survived by the love of his life, Lisa; daughters, Sage (13) and Isabella (8); his mother, Carol (Tom) Briggs;  his father, Montie Simpson; his grandfather, Bud (Cathy) Mast; siblings, Cora (Johnny) Guillen, Shelby Morris, Cierra Mast, Ryan Briggs, Colin Briggs, Chelsea (Kelby) Threldkeld, Alycia Groeneveld, Catherine Briggs, Cheyenne Simpson and Patricia Simpson,  to them he will always be their "Bubba"; numerous aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his Father-In-Law, Mark (Rhonda) Atchley and Mother-In-Law, Sandy (Randy) Denofsky, as well as his brothers & sisters-in-law.  He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Barbara Mast and Mikkie Nichel, and one cousin, Stephen Jaramillo."If love could have saved you, you'd still be here".Memorial Services are pending at this time.  Information will be updated as it is received.
