In loving memory of Pastor Eunice Tessler, who passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at Haven of Show Low Care Center. She was 87 years old. Eunice was born on May 2, 1930 in Cibecue, Navajo County, Arizona to Allen Lavender and Nancy Chin.Pastor Eunice Tessler LOVED to Pray, and loved the people of her community whom she prayed for daily. She was know to have a "Big Heart of Love". Eunice worked in the Deli at the Commercial Center and in the school system, this was where she was able to show her love of cooking. Along with the love of ministry and cooking, her other talents and hobbies included sewing, making quilts and cradleboards. She also loved to pick and gather Acorns.Eunice is survived by her son, Delmer (Norma) Tessay, Sr; 4 daughters, Linda (Manuel) Potter, Dallas Jim, Ronda Gooday and Perfillia Tessay; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Jordan Lavender; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Sandra Altaha and Eugene Tessay, Sr.A two-night wake will begin at 3:00 P.M. Thursday October 26th at the Family Residence 107 N. River Dr., Cibecue, AZ. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 28th at the Cibecue Pentecostal Church in Cibecue. Concluding Services and Interment will be in the Open Range Cemetery, Cibecue, AZ.
