Alvie Rose Holt passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in Show Low, AZ. She was born on July 24, 1928 in Buckeye, AZ to Daniel & Maud Clark Roseberry.Alvie was a strong, hard-working woman. She was raising her eight children when she returned to school to get a college degree, which was no easy task! She taught 1st and 3rd grades from 1968-1992. She had many talents. She sewed her sons western shirts as well as all of her daughters clothing as they were growing up. For many years she crocheted little hats for the preemie babies in the hospital. Alvie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Primary and Relief Society. She also loved to attend the Temple on a weekly basis.Alvie is survived by her husband, Leo Holt of Taylor, AZ; sons, H. Marvin Cooper of San Simon, AZ, Stan C. Cooper of Westminster, CO, P. Jeffery Cooper of Mesa, AZ, Richard H. Cooper of Mesa, AZ, & Kirk W. Cooper of Longview, WA; daughters, Debby Noble of Gardnerville, NV & Dorothy Banes of Skiatook, Oklahoma; also numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her son, Norman B. Cooper, as well as her first husband, Howard Marvin Cooper.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Owens Livingston Mortuary, Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19 S., Snowflake, Arizona. A visitation will begin 1 hour prior. Burial will be the following day at the Mountain View Cemetery in Lordsburg, New Mexico.
