James Frank Simpson, of Pinedale, Arizona passed away on September 20, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 71. He was born on June 24, 1946 to Virgil and Pauline Simpson in San Pedro, California. James was a Pipe Fitter and Welder by trade. He belonged to the UA Local 469 in Arizona and the UA Local 342 in California. A United States Navy Veteran he served his country Honorably during the Vietnam War. He was a very generous man who would give you the shirt off his back. An avid outdoorsman he loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his 94 year old mother, Pauline Pinnon of Modesto, California; sisters, Jeri of California, Jacki of Oklahoma and Teresa of California; children, Mike (Jennifer) Simpson of Phoenix, Arizona, Marc (Bobby) Simpson of Show Low, Arizona, Jimmy (Misti) Simpson of Linden, Arizona and Jaime (Clay) Reidhead of Pinedale, Arizona; ex-wife, Jeri Simpson; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil. A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Pinedale Cemetery in Pinedale, Arizona where he will be laid to rest with full Military Honors.
