Charles Raymond "Chuck" Milne passed away August 22, 2017 at his home he shared with his loving wife, Kathy. He was born 71 years ago on November 8, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio to Ernest Robert and Mary Lois (Perrin) Milne, the youngest of three boys.When Chuck was two, the family moved to Tucson, where he graduated from Catalina High School in 1963. Chuck was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps. He then joined the Tucson Police in 1967 where he met his future wife. As a detective, he was assigned to different units and special details. However, his passion was always the protection of those who could not protect themselves. He documented the need for the Child Abuse Unit and his request was approved. Chuck spent nine years working in this unit that has grown into a division today. He retired after 20 years of service.Chuck then attended Pima Community College, receiving his Associates Degree with Honors in Construction Drafting. He started a successful business, drafting new homes and remodels for people in Arizona. In 2003, Chuck and his wife Kathy moved to his beloved Show Low where as a family with their two much-loved children had fished and camped for many years. Chuck loved to work in his shop making furniture, frames and quilt holders for his wife's projects. He believed that you never use one nail when you can use two.Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Milne; brothers, James and Richard Milne; two nieces and a nephew. In addition to his wife Kathy Tindall Milne, he is survived by his daughter, Lauren Villalobos and her husband Rick of Tucson, Arizona; his son, Mark Milne and his wife Kami of Aztec, New Mexico; grandsons, Conner and Preston Villalobos; sisters-in-law, Betti Milne, Helen Milne and their children.A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge Hall located at 3445 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson, Arizona, with a luncheon reception to follow at the FOP Lodge.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Chuck to: Accord Hospice of the White Mountains, 5658 Highway 260 Ste. 9, Lakeside, Arizona 85929, or to any organization of your choosing.
