Berrnice Quintero

Bernice Quintero of East Fork Arizona, 70, went home to be with the Lord August 25, 2017, surrounded by her family at Haven of Show Low. She was born on March 23, 1947 in Whiteriver, Az. to the late Hadley & Maybel Hawkins.   Bernice was a loving, caring person. She had a big heart for everybody she knew. She enjoyed doing cross word puzzles and most of the time she would be reading her Bible.    Bernice enjoyed being around her family. She loved being in the outdoors when she was given the chance. She enjoyed being by the lakes or taking drives back to her daughters house.    Bernice has been in the nursing home at Show Low of Haven since 2005. Her room at the Nursing Home was always filled with pictures of her kids, grandkids and great-great-grandkids, She was always so loving and humble.  She enjoyed getting visits from her family. Her room was always decorated so nice even though she had a small area.     She is survived by Mary Ethelbah, Francine & Rockey Riley Jr., Berlita & Gary Lupe, Edmund Quintero, Delphine Quintero, Lela & Doy Alchesay, Dewayne & Samantha Quintero; 25 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren,1 great-great grandchild and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Hadley & Maybel Hawkins.and her brother Manducey Hawkins.    Bernice will be brought back to her home, 1781 S. Wildhorse Avenue. in Whiteriver, Az. on August 30th, 2017 for a 2 night wake. The funeral will be a home service on September 1, 2017 at 1 pm. Burial will be at the Dove St. Cemetery in East Fork, Az.   Bernice will be missed dearly by all that knew her. She has completed her journey. She has lived a full life. Her work is done and her heavenly home has embraced her. God's blessings.
