Winifred Cromwell

Winifred Dawahoya Cromwell “Winnie” entered into eternal rest on July 12, 2017 in Pinetop, Arizona after battling with breast cancer. She was born on July 13, 1949 in Safford, Arizona. Winnie grew up in Bylas, Arizona where she attended Bylas Mission School and Fort Thomas School. After high school, she attended Lamson Business College in Phoenix, Arizona. Winnie married her high school sweetheart Monical Cromwell and moved to Whiteriver, Arizona. She worked for the Whiteriver Indian Health Service Unit for 38 years, until she had to medically retire in May 2012. Her survivors are her children: Lesta, Michael, Monica, and Michelle Cromwell, Denara Rogers and her grandchildren, Terri Goklish, Si’Layna Bradley, Kaelam Cromwell, Kihlo and Koah Siren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Lee Cromwell, Jr. A one night wake will be held for her at 3431 Red Mountain Road/Turkey Creek Apache Dawn Housing in Whiteriver, Arizona on Friday July 21, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held 1: 00 P.M. Saturday July 22, 2017 at the Seven-Mile Miracle Church in Whiteriver, Arizona. Interment will immediately follow at the Canyon Day Cemetery in Canyon Day, Arizona.
