Surrounded by his family, Albert William Crandell, left this life and returned to his Heavenly Home on June 17, 2017 where he was reunited with his eternal companion and sweetheart, Janet May Petersen. Albert was born on November 12, 1938 in Clay Springs, Arizona to Horace and Melinda Crandell. This is where he resided for the remainder of his life. He married Janet on August 5, 1956. They were sealed together on February 1, 1964 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together they created a loving family of 10 children. He worked hard and blessed the life of many through his service and kindness. Everyone he met became his friend and thought well of him. Albert loved the woods and logged for several years before landing a job on the construction crew of the papermill where he retired after 45 years. Spending time in the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, mechanical work, sports, farming, music and teasing were some of his favorite pastimes. Albert is survived by his children, Albert “Bert” (Tammy) Crandell of Safford, Arizona, Cameron (Deanie) Crandell of Clay Springs, Arizona, Doris (Archie) Reidhead of Clay Springs, Arizona, Brenda (Lavar) Merrill of Linden, Arizona, Darla (Allen) Greathouse of Clay Springs, Arizona, Oman (Celeste) Crandell of St. Johns, Arizona, Wesley (Beverly) Crandell of Safford, Arizona, Marcus Crandell and Lanel Del Angel of Clay Springs, Arizona; 42 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; brother, Kirk Crandell and sister, Hope Davis of Clay Springs, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Crandell and son, Owen Crandell. Albert will always be remembered by his children as a wonderful father. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Clay Springs Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5150 Highway 260, Clay Springs, Arizona. Interment will follow in the Clay Springs Cemetery.
