Leona Baha Anderson, 58, of Canyon Day, AZ was born on April 13, 1959 to Rufus & Inez Antonio Baha. She went home with the Lord on May 8, 2017 in Phoenix Az, surrounded by her family. Leona graduated from Alchesay High School in 1977 and worked as a cashier at the Canyon Day Chevron station and was a homemaker. Leona was an amazing person with a big heart. Her grandkids called her house "the farm" or "cat farm" since she raised abandoned calves and had many outdoor cats, as well as chickens & ducks. Leona loved her family and friends. She had nicknames for each of her grandkids and called everyone in the family "baby". She loved & treated all her grandchildren equally. She was a member of the Canyon Day Miracle church and had a strong faith in God. She read her bible daily and taught her family the importance of prayer. Leona leaves behind her husband, Wes Anderson Jr; sons TJ Goclanney & Isaiah Anderson, of Whiteriver Az, & Wacey Anderson of Boalsburg, PA; daughter Inez Anderson of Boalsburg, PA; foster daughter Araya Velasquez of Ft Apache, AZ; 19 grandchildren & 2 great granddaughters; brothers Ashley Griggs Sr & Breezy Johnson Sr.; sisters Roxie Baha, Rose Sanchez, Kay Sanchez, Dorothy Parker, Jackie Kitcheyan & Veronica Antonio, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus & Inez Baha; sons Jeremiah Anderson & Rufus "Bozo" Baha; sister Vernadale Burnette, brothers Laverne, Gilbert and Samuel Baha. Upon her request a viewing was held on May 16, 2017 and a funeral service was held at the Canyon Day Miracle Church, officiated by Bishop Leroy Tate. Burial was at the Canyon Day Cemetery.
