Surrounded by her family, Estelle Hall died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. She was 86 years old. Estelle was born on a Thursday, March 12, 1931, in Standard, Arizona. Her parents were the late William and Rebecca Pettyjohn. Estelle met and, later, married her forever sweetheart, Lafayette "Lafe" Hall on December 13, 1947. This coming December, the couple would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary together. Estelle was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and, within it, has served in many capacities. She was also a pioneer for the Show Low Little League and, more than anything, loved to watch her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids play ball over the years. Estelle was known for her generosity and compassion for others in need. She will be greatly missed by all. Estelle is survived by her husband, Lafe Hall of Show Low, Arizona; 6 children: Eddie (Judy) Hall of Show Low, Arizona, George (Dawn) Hall of Show Low, Arizona, Becky (John, Sr., deceased) Leech of Show Low, Kenneth (Skeeter) Hall of Eagar, Arizona, Steve (Cindi) Hall of Show Low, Arizona, Dale (Jacque) Hall of Vinita, Oklahoma; 22 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings: Coy (Nelda) Pettyjohn of Henderson, Nevada, Joan (Phil) Means of Phoenix Arizona, Juanita (O'Dell) Reidhead of Show Low, Arizona and Ernest (Susan) Pettyjohn of Taylor, Arizona. Along with her parents and son-in-law, Estelle was preceded in death by her sister, Jeneva Ball; 7 brothers: William Pettyjohn, Harold Pettyjohn, Leroy Pettyjohn, Luther Pettyjohn, Travis Pettyjohn, Douglas Pettyjohn, Danny Pettyjohn, and by 1 grandson, Lafe Edward Hall, Jr. The visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, May 8, 2017, at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona. The funeral service will begin 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter, 300 N. 11th Street in Show Low where additional visitation will begin 1 hour prior. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Show Low Cemetery.
