Chester A. Spires

Chester A. Spires, son of Chester M. and Elsie E. Spires peacefully passed away on April 16, 2017 at his home in Linden, Arizona. He was born on October 1, 1943 in Kyger, Ohio. He is survived by 5 brothers, Rodney Spires, John Spires, Robert Spires, Joseph Spires and Roger Spires as well as his 2 sisters, Lucy Seymore and Mary Noel. Married to Diana L. Spires he has 4 sons, Phillip B. Spires, Chester A. Spires, II (Chet), Steve L. Spires and Charlie Spires; 1 daughter, LaRene K. Bishop; grandchildren, Audrey, Ashley and Stephanie as well as 3 great-grandchildren. Chester moved with his family from Kyger in 1955 to Arizona living in the Mesa Area until 1972. He then moved to Show Low where he met and married Diana L. Spires in 1973 and making Show Low his permanent home for the following 44 years. His profession as a brick layer and stone mason made him many friends in the area. He leaves behind beautiful works of art in his trade for many. Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Snowflake Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9th S. 2nd W., Snowflake.
