Patricia Riggs

Patricia "Patsy" Moody Riggs, 82, of Sun Lakes, Arizona, passed with dignity and grace, with her family by her side, on March 7, 2017.An Arizona Native, she was born in Williams, AZ on January 25, 1935, the middle daughter of Carmen and Homer Moody, who worked for the U.S. Forest Service. Her early years were lived in Northern Arizona.Upon Graduation, she enlisted in the Women's Army Corp and was stationed at 130th STA Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany. She would serve as Secretary to the Chaplain.She married Jack W. Riggs on December 13, 1957. She was our devoted, beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone (all of God's creatures).She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years; daughter, Melody (Greg) Mackey of NH; son, Jon (Kimberly) Riggs of Gilbert, AZ; Jeff Burns of Gilbert, AZ; Sisters, June Petersen of Scottsdale, AZ & Kathleen Haley of OK; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:30 AM at the Valley View Southern Baptist Church, 1212 S. Main, in Snowflake, Arizona. Burial will follow at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor, Arizona.
