Calvin Gerald Parsons

Calvin Gerald Parsons "Cal" left this world in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 5, 2017 after a year of heart surgeries and vascular disease; he was so very tired. Cal was born on April 28, 1941, the first born and only son of E.E. Parsons and Jerry Chambers Parsons. He was big brother to four sisters, one being Barbara Tomes who passed away nine days earlier, February 24, 2017.Cal retired from the Department of Corrections after 23 years of service. He was loved and respected by his fellow employees and friends, above all his family.Those left behind to mourn this loss are his wife and friend Linda Kay Parsons "Cindy," his "best mom in the world" Jerry Parsons, three sisters: Eileen Sullivan and his "bro" Jerry Sullivan, Diana and Albert Krueger and Debbie Williams, also his dear friends Gary and Dorothy Jack.Cal was "Dad" to his six children, three sons, David, Daniel and Jayson, three daughters Cindy, Paula and Christy and their families; too many grandchildren and great grandchildren to mention but he loved each and every one. Cal was preceded in death by his "Dad" E.E. Parsons (Mike), a little sister "Barb" and his grandparents.There will be a Celebration of Cal's life in May. Cindy will publish the date and time later.
