Obituary:Captain’s LogStar Date: SupplementalThis is the final entry for Loretta Ann "Red" LaForce. She landed on this earth in 1956 and was put into the care of Elizabeth Ann LaForce and Denis Marc LaForce. Along with her siblings Tauline (John), Cecile, Kim (Rick), & Deni, she grew up with a love of family, books, and learning. Loretta’s particular interests included astronomy, astrology, music, sunsets, bonfires, and barbecues. But along with her children Kristin (Ash) Marriott, Vannce (Katelyn) Peterson, J. Anthony Light, and Jarred Light, she loved her grandchildren Austin, Trenton, Rennie, Belle, Sage, Michael, Haven, Raiden to the moon and back. Always true to herself, Loretta was a fighter and defeated cancer no less than three times. She may have lost the final battle with her illnesses but won the war and joined her beloved mother Betty LaForce and grandmother Betty Armstrong on February 23, 2017.
