Reba May Jackson Chlarson, 77, of Clay Springs, Arizona passed away in Modesto, California on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She was born May 18, 1939, the 3rd child of Don Carlos Jackson and Orpha Jane Hancock Jackson, long-time residents of Clay Springs.Reba spent her life in the service of her fellow man, and was a beloved member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served an 18-month mission for her church in Independence, Missouri, After her return, she married Karl J. Chlarson on December 27, 1972 in the Mesa Arizona Temple.Reba and Karl opened their hearts and home by adopting 10 children, and loving countless others over many years.She is preceded in death by her parents; several siblings, Donna Jean, Don Grant, Vernon C., and Orpha Delight; her loving husband Karl, and devoted son, Jon.Her legacy is survived by 2 sons, Don and Scott and 7 daughters, Linda, Jessie, Geneva, Polly, Marie, Starla, and Cara. There are countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many others that were touched by her loving spirit.A Funeral service will be held at the Clay Springs Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 515 Hwy 260 in Clay Springs, at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 16, 2017, with a public viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Clay Springs Cemetery.
