Alice Viola Haney died late in the evening of Thursday, February 2, 2017 at her home in Heber, Arizona at Chevelon Canyon from natural causes incident to her age. She was 85 years old. Alice was born on a Saturday, January 23, 1932 in Millville, Cumberland County, New Jersey to her parents, the late Harry and Alice (Dickerson) McClyment.Alice moved to Arizona as a young woman in 1953. Throughout her life, she was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. She spent her life at church as a Sunday School teacher and never tired of sharing the "Good News" of the Gospel. To her family she was a very loving mother and doting grandmother. She worked outside of the home for many years in the hotel industry as a housekeeper for Rodeway Inn. She taught her family, by example, the value of hard work and never shied away from doing the right thing.Alice is survived by her children: Eva Mollet of Mesa, Arizona, Neal Haney of Mesa, Arizona, Lois (Joseph) McKenzie of Heber, Arizona, Alvin (Ruth) Haney of Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Haney in September of 2005.At this time, no services are planned. Memorial contributions in her name to the First Southern Baptist Church of Overgaard, P.O. Box 84, Overgaard, Arizona 85933 have been suggested by her family.
