Bill Burton Elkins, 88, of Snowflake, Arizona died January 23, 2017, at his home on the Rocking Chair Ranch.He was born January 1, 1929 in Bluewater, New Mexico. He was the third of seven children born to Mark and Ina (Teitjen) Elkins, pioneer ranchers in the state of New Mexico. He was a lifelong rancher except for two years he spent in the Army, serving during the Korean War.He is survived by his children, Sherrie (Lonnie) Sherwood of Taylor, Billy (Sheri) Elkins of Snowflake, Bryan (Jeannine) Elkins of Lakeside, and Suzanna (JT) Bryant of Snowflake, 16 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Jim, and one sister-in-law, Sue, both of Bluewater, New Mexico.He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann, in 2003.Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Main Street Chapel, 48 N. Main St. in Snowflake, with a visitation one hour prior to services.Interment will follow in the RV "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
