Shirley L. Price

Shirley L. Price (Myer) passed away peacefully at her home in Show Low AZ on December 31st, 2016 at the age of 77. She is survived by her son James, daughter Kimberly, and daughter in law Cindy. Shirley is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Shawn, Noel, Hannah, Dexter, Dylan, Kenzie, Maggie, and Skylyn. And her great-grandchildren Trinity and Calista. She is dearly missed by her best friend Margaret. She was born in San Diego, California in the spring of 1939. She attended high school in El Cajon, California. After high school she enjoyed working in the nursery at Kaiser Medical. She was an avid gardener, and won numerous awards for her heirloom tomatoes, beautiful hand-stitched quilts, intricate crocheted pieces, and extrodinary embroidery. After traveling up and down the west coast she finally settled down in Show Low. For 20 years she was a proud member of the White Mountain Women's Club, and Red Hat Society. She loved to read, go out to eat, and spend hours on the phone with Margaret. Her kindness, and stories will live on in our hearts and memories forever. The viewing will be held at Owen's Livingston Mortuary (320 N. 9th Street Show Low, AZ 8590) from 12-1pm on Saturday January 14th.  The funeral services will follow at 1pm with Kevin Weaver presiding. Following the services her private interment will be at Show Low Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Hospice Compassus 1789 W.
