Jannette M. “Jenny” Pool, age 92, of Show Low, Arizona passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at her granddaughter’s home. Jenny was born in Shelbyville, Indiana on February 2, 1924, the daughter of the late Paul and Mable (Sandman) Lindner. She was raised in Shelbyville and attended local schools there. On July 26, 1941 she married Arthur Eugene “Gene” Pool. She worked at Camp Atterbury, Indiana until Gene returned from the war at which time they moved to Hastings, Michigan and were both employed at Hastings Aluminum Products. Jenny worked there a short time until she became a mother and from then on she took great pride in caring for her family; their comfort and happiness was always her first priority. The couple made their home together in Hastings until moving to Arizona in 1984. Jenny loved being on the horse ranch in Cave Creek, Arizona and for 25 years she was never afraid of a hard days work. Gene and Jenny had been married 62 years when Gene passed away in 2003. In 2008 she moved to Show Low to be with her granddaughters. Jenny is survived by son, Walter Gene (Jane) Pool of Hastings, Michigan; grandchildren, William (Debra) Chrysler of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jean (George) Clough of Show Low, Arizona, Catherine Reed of Show Low, Robert (Tammy) Pool of Hastings, Michigan and Janet (Brent) Johnson of Hastings; 11 great-grandchildren, Crystal, Scott, Laura, Chris, Steven, Cheryl, Chance, Austin, Quinn, Atricia and Haleigh as well as 21 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; daughter, Julie Nadiene (Pool) Juedes; grandson-in-law, Darrin Reed; great-great-grandson, Lance Rogers; sister, Pauline Haight and brother, “Jack” Melvin Lindner. A viewing will be held from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary ~ White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low. Graveside services will be held 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the National Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
