Herbert Allen Hoadley, of Show Low, Arizona passed away on November 29, 2016 at his home in Show Low. He was 80. Herb was born on June 2, 1932 in Easton, Pennsylvania to the late Russell and Eva (Gruver) Hoadley. Herb was a veteran of the United States Air Force before being honorably discharged. He was a Life-Member and Past Commander of the VFW Post #9907 in Show Low. He enjoyed volunteering his time at the post and even helped at the American Legion in Whiteriver passing out food. Herb was a skilled woodworker. He would make small wagon replicas that were displayed in the Show Low Café and in many homes around the White Mountains for many years. He built a replica of the Sweetheart Café in Downtown Show Low that is still displayed in the restaurant to this day. Some of his woodwork is also displayed in the Show Low Museum, including a train set, something he was very proud of. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy of Show Low; children, Zina Hoadley of Florida, Zarina Krolak of Mayer, Arizona, Fred Hoadley of Mayer Arizona, Owen Jager of Show Low, Barbara Ebling of Colorado, Brenda Jager of Lakeside and Brian (Lisa) Jager of Show Low; grandchildren, Joseph, April, Ashley, Samantha, Katrina, David; great-grandchildren, Cody, April and a sister, Beatrice (Jim) Bruch-Wells of Wittman, Arizona. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. No services will be held.
