Mary Kay Kathryn Hansard

Mary Kay Hansard, age 93, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Solterra Senior Living in Lakeside, Arizona. She was born July 29, 1923 in Farwell, Texas to James Buchanan Lunsford and Rachel McWhorter Lunsford.In Mary Kay's early life she sang live on the radio, played the accordion and had a great lifelong love for music. She loved to travel. After retiring, she and her husband traveled in their motorhome to all 48 contiguous states. Most of her life was spent in New Mexico; she has lived in Lakeside, Arizona for the past 15 years.Mary Kay is survived by her 3 children: Gary Hansard of Phoenix, Arizona, Carol (Neal) Thompson of Pinetop, Arizona and Greg (Jannette) Hansard of Highland, Michigan. 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Buck Springs Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints building, 4075 Buck Springs in Pinetop, Arizona with a viewing scheduled for 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will follow at the Lakeside Cemetery in Lakeside, Arizona. Funeral arrangements were handled by Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
