Marjorie McJunkin

Marjorie McJunkin, age 92, passed away on November 17, 2016. Marjorie was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Donald and Cora Peterson. She grew up in the Phoenix area and graduated from Glendale Union High School. Marjorie married Elton McJunkin and they had three children. Marjorie was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and sewing for her family. Her hobbies included photography and tending to her flower gardens. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing and square dancing. She also appreciated art and theatre. Marjorie was fun loving and liked to make people smile. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Johnson and Marilyn Nielsen; grandchildren, Charley Ames, Jennifer Adkinson, Daniel Nielsen, Jeffrey Nielsen, Pete McJunkin and Ben McJunkin as well as 3 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren Street., Phoenix. The family would like to thank the staff with Hospice Compassus for their tender care provided.
