Mary Joyce Reese

Mary “Meem” Joyce Reese, 83, of Holbrook, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Viewing will start at 9, Rosary at 10:15 and the service to follow at 11 a.m. She was born March 9, 1933, in La Porte County Indiana to William Carl Clark and Mable Margaret (Swanson) Clark. She moved to Arizona with her beloved Jim in the mid-1950s and made their home in Holbrook in 1958.  She held several jobs throughout the years and impacted many lives with her kindness and generosity. Mary loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had a passion for cooking and loved sharing her talents feeding family and friends for many years.  She will be remembered for her countless hours of service in her community, and for her love of family and friends. She was an avid sports fan, always cheering on her favorite teams; Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs. She is survived by her 3 sisters; Charlotte Miller, Connie Humphrey and Peggy McGilvra, 3 children; David, Rebecca and Christine, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband James W. Reese. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for all donations to go to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Holbrook, AZ. >
