Gary John Nelson

January 13, 1952 — October 14, 2016

Gary John Nelson, of Heber, Arizona passed away on October 14, 2016 at the Summit Health Care Regional Medical Center ER in Show Low, Arizona with his companion, Linda Bache by his side. He was 64. Gary was born to the late John and Lillian (Carlson) Nelson in Jamestown, New York on January 13, 1952.   He was a graduate of Jamestown High School in 1970 and was confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Jamestown. He served in the Army Reserves and was an apprentice lather with his father prior to him moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1976. He was the owner of Christopher’s Sales and Services in Phoenix for many years.   His hobbies included: golfing, gardening, landscaping, traveling, classical cars, trucks and motorcycles.   Survivors include, children, Ryan M. Nelson, Shawn C. (Laura) Nelson, Gary J.F. Nelson and Amber N. Nelson all of Arizona; grandchildren, Holly, Megan, Katie and Devon Nelson all of Arizona; companion, Linda Bache of Heber, Arizona; sisters, Lynnette D. Sigrist of East Amherst, New York and JoAnn R. Nelson of Bemus Point, New York; brothers, John M. (Mary) Nelson of Jamestown, New York and Todd R. (Jennifer) Nelson of West Ellicott, New York; nieces and nephews, Emmalynn Sigrist of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Benjamin Nelson of Rochester, New York, Joshua Nelson of Buffalo, New York, Zachariah Nelson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Lily Nelson, of West Ellicott and John C. Nelson of Williamsburg, Virginia.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian on October 14, 1998 and John on May 7, 2014 as well as grandparents, Adick and Alma Carlson and Albert and Muriel Nelson.   Private memorial services will be held.
