Kathy Skidmore Walker went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2016 at 3:35 A.M. at Haven of Show Low. She was 57. Kathy was born on July 5, 1959 in Whiteriver, Arizona. Kathy was known as “Udee” and to many of her family and friends she was called “Grandma Mi.” She was a strong lady and always had something to do and one of them was cooking meals for everyone. She would help anyone when they needed it and she prayed for everyone daily. Kathy loved her grandchildren so much and she would always show them by hugging them whenever she would see them and she would always buy them gifts during Christmas. She loved to sew her own camp dresses when she had the time. Kathy was one funny lady and she made everyone laugh with her jokes and her dancing. Kathy worked for the Tribal Forestry Department for many years as well as the Haven of Lakeside and most recently Hondah Casino. She left behind her sweet heart Chris Tessler who she traveled around with and always had time to go on their dates at El Rancho in Pinetop; her mother, Zorina Skidmore who she was always with, driving her around and taking her to Phoenix to shop. She also leaves behind her three brothers and 2 sisters as well as her four sons and two daughters. Kathy will be deeply missed. She always had that smile and laugh that everyone will not forget. A two night wake will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at her home in Whiteriver, Arizona. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Whiteriver Assembly of God Church officiated by her son, Senior Pastor Marty Paxson. She will be laid to rest in the Whiteriver Cemetery. “We the family would like to thank everyone for your help during the time of our lost mother.”
