George was born at home in the Pasadena house that was built by his grandparents, Reuben and Sallie Robinson. His parents, Rev. George Clarence and Ruby Robinson Wise preceded him as did his siblings: Harriet Meredith, Susanne Whitcomb, Bill Wise, Celia Teerink and John Wise. George met Betty Eileen Tripp at a Nazarene youth function in the late 1940’s and then married on June 23, 1950. Shortly thereafter, George went into the service for nearly four years. George and Betty settled in Fontana and were members of the Bloomington First Church of the Nazarene. George sang in the sanctuary choir and served as the church treasurer for 17 years. He worked in the structural mill at Kaiser Steel for more than 30 years before retiring. Eventually he moved with his son, Gary, to Snowflake, Arizona. George was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and continued to live with Gary until his passing. George is survived by his children, Brenda and Gary; 3 grandchildren, Austin Robinson Holliman, Alannah Lee Gignac and Aaron Edwin Holliman; 5 great-grandchildren, Averie Belle Gillen, Asher Gregory Gillen, Autrey Layne Gignac, Reef Martin Holliman and Isla Pearl Holliman. Private services will be held.
