Marvin Eugene McKenrick

Marvin Eugene McKenrick died Thursday morning, July 7, 2016 at his home in Show Low, Arizona from a lengthy illness.  He was 89 years old.  Marv, as he was known, was born on a Saturday, May 28, 1927 in Comanche, Clinton County, Iowa to his parents the late Lester C. and Dorothy (Brown) McKenrick.Marvin was a U.S. Army and Navy veteran.  He served his country honorably.  He retired from the U.S. Postal service after many years of service as a professional custodian.  Throughout his life, he was known to buy old cars to fix them up and resale them.  He was an avid gardener and, he had the prettiest yard in his neighborhood.  He loved to putter around his garden and make everything bloom.He and his dear wife, Patsy (Keenen) McKenrick, who passed away in 2008, were the proud parents of 7 children:  Connie McKenrick (deceased 1997), Marvin (Rosalind) McKenrick of Southern California, Linda McKenrick (deceased 2013), Elaine Maltby (deceased 2012), Mary Hochstetter (deceased 2015), David (Teresa) McKenrick of Mesa, Arizona and Jodie McKenrick of Show Low, Arizona.  in addition to his 3 surviving children, Marv is also survived by 2 brothers:  Wayne McKenrick, Jacob McKenrick; 22 grandchilren and 17 great-grandchildren.
