Cherrie Jo Mullenix, of Show Low, Arizona peacefully passed away at her home with loved ones by her side on June 30, 2016. She was born April 14, 1937 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late, William and Edith (Bushong) Baker. In her younger years, Cherrie was an excellent bowler and even became a semi-pro softball player. She and her late husband, Donald, spent many years on the road RVing and camping all over the country. They were always on the go. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald, just 11 months before her passing. She is survived by her children, Donna Holloway (Dan Sorenson), Linda Stacey of Show Low, Eugene Mullenix (Genevive) of Chandler and Trudy Lee (Rich) of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Michael Quick, Chad Quick, Scott McDonald, Daniel Mullenix, Brian Mullenix, Vanessa Munjoy and Kris Munjoy, Eugene Mullenix Jr., Tyrone Stacy, Thomas Stacy, Kyra Sorenson, Rick Lee and Kassy Floyd and 31 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the VFW Post 9907, 381 N. Central, Show Low. Inurment will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2016.
