Sharon Marie Stover died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at her home in Whiteriver, Navajo County, Arizona. She was 54 years old. Sharon was born, the baby of the family, on a Monday, January 8, 1962 in Whiteriver, Arizona to her parents, the late Harry, Sr. and Mae (Baha) Stover. Sharon was a graduated member of the Alchesay High School Class of 1980 in Whiteriver. She later went on to attend Phoenix College. It has been said of Sharon that "she was just like her mom," in that she was a caring and loving person. She never turned anyone away who was in need of her help and attention. She welcomed everybody into her circle, as she was blessed with a warm heart.Sharon worked for the White Mountain Apache Tribe for more than 25 years in multiple departments and as a DJ for KNNB. Hers was a warm and friendly face to whomever she worked with. For the past 20 years, Sharon worked as a social worker in social services and helped many, many hundreds of families during her time of service there. Sharon was a great example, not only to her children but, to children everywhere. She taught them never to hate and also taught them to be examples, themselves, to others around them. And, when serving the needs of others, their service needed to be done with a willing and uncomplaining heart. Ever mindful of the spiritual needs of her family, friends and neighbors, Sharon always prayed for others; that they would be safe and protected from the evils of the world. Sharon was a longtime member of the Open Bible Lutheran Church, where she was baptized by Reverend Arthur Guenther.Sharon will be missed greatly by everyone whom has had the privilege to know her. However, none will miss her more than those within her own family. She is survived by: her son, Karl (Ashley) Harris of Whiteriver, Arizona; 2 daughters: Feather Sprengeler of Whiteriver, Arizona, Leah Sprengeler of Whiteriver, Arizona; 4 grandchildren: Shantel Tori Harris, Chenelle Ray Harris, Franko Leo Harris, Karlo Houston Harris, (with one more on the way!); 2 brother, Harry (Bobbie) Stover, Jr. of Diamond Creek, Arizona; Monte Stover, Sr. of Whiteriver, Arizona; 4 sisters: Adelia (Marvin) Burnette of Whiteriver, Arizona, Delta Hinton of Whiteriver, Arizona, Marvene (Pascal) Ethelbah of Cradleboard, Arizona, Phoebe Riley of Jurassic Park, Arizona and is also survived by many aunts, uncles as well as extended family and a multitude of friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Franko Leo Harris; a sister, Ramona Skidmore and by a godson, Erwin Lance "Okie" Stover.a 1 day wake will begin 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 1, 2016 the Stover Family Home, 620 N. 3rd Avenue in Whiteriver, Arizona. The funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Open Bible Lutheran Church in Whiteriver. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Alchesay Cemetery in North Fork, Arizona.Sharon's family is thankful for all of the expressions of sympathy they have received during this difficult time and are especially grateful for all of the prayers offered up on their behalf.
