Odessa Swinney

Odessa Swinney, age 92, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at her home in Lakeside, Arizona. She was born October 23, 1923 in Fostoria, Texas to Lee Turner and Serbia Frances McIlvain Turner.Odessa was a life member of Pythian Sisters in Globe, Arizona, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1704. She was a great mother, cook and friend to all. She was a devout Methodist who enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening and fishing. She is survived by her daughter: Corliss M. Bowers of Lakeside, Arizona and her son: Clifford (Peggy) Swinney of May, Texas. 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Bulman Miles Mortuary in Miami, Arizona. Burial will follow at the Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens cemetery. Arrangements were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
