Edgar Neil Breed

Edgar “Ed” N. Breed, 95 years of age, of Lakeside, Arizona passed away on May 15, 2016.  Ed was born in Sesser, Illinois on January 3, 1921. He graduated from Centralia, Illinois Township High School.  Ed worked as a lineman for Illinois Bell Phone Company for 19 years. Ed was married to Dolores McCrary and was married 68 years. Ed and Dolores purchased and managed a gas station and grocery store at the Kaibab Forest, North Rim of the Grand Canyon from 1962 – 1973, one of the best experiences of their life.  Ed enjoyed his life at Solterra Senior Living developing many special friendships and considered this home. Ed served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945, in the Aleutian Islands.  Recalled during the Korean War from 1951-1953, with the U.S. Air Force. Ed is survived by two children, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, one sister, and nieces and nephews.  Ed is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores McCrary Breed.The memorial service will be held at Solterra Senior Living, 5408 Hwy 260, at 11:00am on Saturday, May 28th, 2016.  No flowers please.
