With her sweetheart of 65 years at her side, Mary Ellen Macomber Genet died, Sunday, May 1, 2016, at her home in Show Low, Arizona.  She was 85 years old.  Mary Ellen was born on September 5, 1930 in Zanesville, Ohio to her parents, the late Lorrin and Ida Macomber.  She met, and later married, Robert "Bob" Genet on February 25, 1951.  Bob was employed by HC Price, a pipeline construction company, and they traveled from coast to coast, having their 4 children.  Deborah was born in New York, Susan in Mississippi, Robert Jr. in Tennessee, and Lori in California.  They settled in Arizona when the kids started school and Bob worked for Empire Machinery Company.  Mary Ellen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She was an amazing cook, housekeeper and loved her family very much.  Her favorite pastimes were bowling, dancing, watching baseball games, and playing bridge with her bridge buddies.  She is survived by her husband: Bob Genet, Sr.; 3 children:  Debbie Dalke (Brian), Bob Genet, Jr. (Julie), Lori Bauer (Brian); a step-daughter, Prudence Pasquariello of Wooster, Ohio; 12 grandkids and 18 great-grandkids.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Dee Genet Johnson in 2012. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low.
