Nadine Arthur Bateman

Nadine Arthur Bateman, passed away on May 1, 2016, at her home in Snowflake, Arizona. She was born July 17, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John Paul Arthur and Inez Smith. She worked at Kentuckey Fried Chicken for about 28 years, first as a waitress and then as a manager. She also worked at AT&T for 17 years. Nadine was an active member of the church of Latter Day Saints. She was also over the cub scouts for many years. She was a visiting teacher and made many friends.  She was over the Senior luncheons in Snowflake stake. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and became the president in the Snowflake Arizona camp. She was involved in the Utah Doll club with Kathy Arthur. She also ran a ceramic shop for many years in the basement of her home and brought it all with her to Arizona. She did love to make her porcelain dolls but she loved her classes and students more and teaching them many different projects. Survivers are:  Susan Lofthouse &  her children, Richard Mark Kent (Pam), Jodi Lynne Valdez (Trilby), Nicholas Glenn Kent (Cheryl), Misty Anne Lofthouse, Alisha Sue Buck (Jason); Colleen Butterfield (Doss) & their children, Cori Mears (Rory), Kelly Butterfield (Jennett), Cody Butterfield (Kimberly); Rex Eugene Bateman Jr. his children, Shawn Bateman (Amy), Tiffany Bateman; RaNae Kafer (Carl) & their children, Goerge Scott Kafer, David Benjamin Kafer (Pam), John Robert Kafer; LaDean Howard (Steve)& their children, Angel Majan (Jo), Kathrine Crawford (Cory), Elise Heygster (Marcus); Thomas Nielson Bateman & his children, Dustin Bateman (Megan), Nicole Bateman, Brittany Burnham (Alicia), Kyle Bateman; John Ray Bateman (Stacy) & their children, Anthony Penek, Brooke Latshaw (Christopher), Trevor John Bateman (Jacy),  Levi Bateman. Sister Rita Chase and Brother John Paul and Kathy Arthur Jr. She also had 31 great grandkids and 2 great great grandkids. She was preceded in death by John Paul and Inez Arthur, Rex Eugene Bateman, Kenneth Lofthouse, Brandon Bateman, William Chase and baby Mears.A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, May 5th at Owens Livingston Mortuary - Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19 S. in Snowflake, Arizona.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am at the Pioneer Park Chapel, 421 N. Main St.,  in Snowflake AZ, with a viewing 1 hour prior. Interment will take place at the Murray City Cemetery, in Murray, Utah on Monday, May 9, 2016.
