On April 10, 2016 our beloved Teresa Hitzeman, loving wife, mother and grandmother was called by the Lord to come home.Her life was full of joy and happiness and she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.She faced many challenges in her later years, losing most of her vision and going through a heart surgery. But she was a fighter who never gave up until the very last when it became more than she could handle and it was time for God to take over.Teresa was born in Spickard, Missouri on March 31, 1929. She met her husband, Leonard in Kansas City, Missouri. They had a wonderful life together for 68 years. They lived in Kansas City, Kansas with their two children, Wayne and Diana, until moving to Tempe, Arizona in 1963. She and Leonard lived between the White Mountains and Yuma for several years, before making Show Low their permanent home. Teresa was a secretary and also worked in the medical profession much of her life.Her joy and happiness was being with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but would tell us all to "get on with life".Teresa is survived by her husband, Leonard; son, Wayne; Daughter, Diana (Jack) Francis; grandsons, Jason Hitzeman, Jeremy, Joshua, Christopher and Conner Francis; their wives and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Pysher, and mother, Hattie Brest.A visitation will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Owens Livingston Mortuary, White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St, Show Low, AZ. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 3:00 PM at High Country Church of Christ on Hwy 60 in Show Low. Her grandson, Reverend Jeremy Francis will officiate the service.Rest in Peace our dear Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
