Waneta Maxine Brown

Waneta Maxine Brown, of Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona passed away on March 28, 2016 in Lakeside. She was 91. She was born to her parents the late, Ervie and Dessie (Jacobson) Young on April 25, 1924 in San Fernando, Los Angeles County, California.   A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend she will be deeply missed. Waneta married the love of her life, Raymond K. Brown on April 22, 1942 and together they had 4 children: Thomas (Diane) Brown of Sister Bay, Wisconsin, Peggy Hill of Show Low, Daniel (Lenore) Brown of Conroe, Texas and Susan Brown who preceded her in death. Also, surviving her are her 7 grandchildren, Ronald Brown, Anthony (Jackie) Brown, Jennifer (Brown) Larson, Shelley (Michael) Corzo, James (Tiffany) Hill, Elizabeth (Troy) Strauss and Kathleen (Travis) Kirkpatrick; 10 great-grandchildren and a brother, Alfred (Betty) Young of Crescent City, California.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; daughter, Susan; son-in-law, Dennis Hill and brothers, William and Robert.   Waneta loved to serve the Lord. Her family was of the utmost importance to her. She enjoyed flowers and plants.   Memorial services will be held at a later date in San Fernando, California.   Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
