Lavoy Doyle Hancock, age 76, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at his home in Show Low, Arizona surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 23, 1939 in Taylor, Arizona to Alfred Lavoy Hancock and Myrtle Willis Hancock.Doyle loved to hunt, fish and spend time enjoying nature. HIs wife Cheryl was the love of his life; his soul-mate. Together they traveled to more than 85 countries. He was proud to be a 5th generation native of Taylor, Arizona. He loved his children and was very proud of them. He was generous to everyone. Doyle started Show Low Construction, Inc. in 1983 and it is still going strong.Doyle is survived by his wife:Cheryl, 5 children: Dirk (Danielle) Hancock, Sharee (Pete) Rebideaux, Melody Hancock, Cassie Hancock and Kaylyn Hancock; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; a sister: Peggy (Johnny) Penrod and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son: Kievan Hancock, 2 sisters: Darlene and Judy, an infant brother: Gary, his parents, his 1st wife: Toni and his 2nd wife: Jimmie.Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Show Low Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building, 300 No. 11th St. (across from the mortuary) . A viewing will begin at 10:00 am Friday morning at the church. Burial will follow at the Show Low Cemetery, with military honors. Arrangements were handled by Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
