Katey Joann Johnson Kowalewski

Our beloved daughter, mother, sister and friend, Kathleen “Katey” Johnson Kowalewski went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2016 in Vernon, Apache County, Arizona. She was 32. Katey was born to her parents, Kearney and Beth Johnson on December 29, 1983 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. Katey grew up in Show Low and graduated from Show Low High School in 2002. She then attended the Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona graduating with Honors with a Master’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She worked for the Blue Ridge School system for the past few years. Katey was a free spirit that loved everything outdoors. She was always going camping, fishing, hunting and most recently found her passion in mushroom hunting. Katie left many friends behind who will miss her dearly. She is now at peace and reunited with her father and sister. She is survived by her 3 beautiful children, Clover, Luke and Lily Kowalewski of Show Low; mother, Beth Johnson of Show Low and sisters, Jackie Norviel of Wyoming and Carol Ann Fuchs of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her father, Kearney Johnson and her sister, Holly Barnes. Private services are planned.
