David Lawrence Gamble

David Lawrence Gamble born July 1, 1941, left in peace to join his wife and daughter in the presence of his Lord on March 4, 2016. He began his journey in peace surrounded by loved ones in the home of his son.David loved his country and retired a Master Sargent from the Air Force with three tours in Vietnam. His duty to God, Country and Family was the hallmark of how he lived his life. He was known for his fun and joyful personality that was contagious to all. He had a unique laugh that could be identified from across the room and always made you smile.He was born at home in Washington County, Missouri and grew up working on the farm with his 18 brothers and sisters. He lived with his family all over the world but settled in Show Low in 1980.He is survived by his son Scott (Lynee) Gamble of Lakeside; daughter Tina (Scott) Horn of Churchton, Maryland; daughter Kimberly (Mike) Petersen of Lakeside AZ; and Glenda Rosekrans of Linden AZ. David has 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Four siblings: Kenneth Gamble of Mineral Point, MO; Faye Allen of Mineral Point, MO; Barb Kean of Mineral Point, MO; and Pat Wilson of DE Soto, MO.David is proceeded in death by his wife Brenda Joyce Gamble; daughter Tammi (Gamble) Leabo; grandson David Santiago; his parents Lawrence and Harriet Gamble; 13 siblings: Lottie; Blanche Asher; Iva Skaggs; Grover; Homer; Beulah Huff; Cookie (Erma) Gillam; Teddy (in infancy); Paul, Pauline Heifner; Maxine Jarvis; Carl (in infancy); and Ricky.As a world traveler in the Air Force, David was passionate about photography and loved landscapes. He had a discerning eye.A viewing will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low with the funeral to begin at 11:00 A.M. Interment will take place in the Show Low Cemetery with full military honors.
