April Dawn LeFevre

April Dawn Ferguson LeFevre was born December 1, 1977 at Flagstaff, Arizona.  She passed away February 25, 2016, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Phoenix, Arizona, from cancer. She was 38 years old.She graduated from Holbrook High School, received her Associates Degree from Northland Pioneer College, and continued her education at Northern Arizona University with an emphasis on Library Science and Theatre.She served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Arcadia Mission, Spanish speaking.April married Thomas Aaron LeFevre in the Snowflake Arizona LDS Temple on June 13, 2003. They have one daughter, Kaitlyn Elizabeth LeFevre, born July 18, 2006 in Show Low, Arizona.April spent many years working at the Holbrook Public Library. After a short term with Navajo County Probation, she hired on with the Holbrook Public Schools as Jr. High and Hulet Elementary Librarian. She was blessed to work most of her life in a career which brought her great joy. She loved books and she loved working with youth. She lived by the motto that those who did not like to read just had not found the right book yet and she inspired reading enjoyment in many by finding books that interested them. She was loved by staff and students at both schools.Survivors include her husband, Thomas LeFevre and daughter Kaitlyn LeFevre; grandparents, Frank and Jeanne Turley, Myrleen Ferguson and the late Edward Ferguson; parents, Michael and Heather Ferguson; siblings, Eldon (Amy) Ferguson, Brit (Amber) Ferguson, and Nicole (Frank) Sweet; parents-in-law, Mark & Susan Lefevre; siblings-in-law, Mysilvia LeFevre, Rebecca LeFevre, Brad (Amanda) LeFevre, Amy (Blaine) Bushman, Emily (Sean) Whitehorn, Rachel LeFevre and Julie LeFevre; nephews, Frank, Garn, Kohl, and Jakob Sweet, Aiden LeFevre and Logan Bushman; nieces, Sophia Sweet and Zoe LeFevre.April was dearly loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 10:00 AM, with visitation 1 hour prior, at the Holbrook Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1127 Helen Ave, Holbrook, Arizona. Interment will follow at the Eagar Cemetery at a future date.
