Frank Yakimovicz, age 94, of Show Low, Arizona, went to our Lord on January 27, 2016. A devoted Catholic and decorated veteran of WWII, he joined the Army Air Corps in October 1941 as an aerial engineer and later retired as CMSgt from Carswell AFB, Texas in 1970. He followed this with a second career in the US Postal Service, retiring in 1990.He is preceded in death by his first wife, Blanche Gach and eleven brothers and sisters. After raising three children, his family was blessed as it expanded with his marriage to Mary Ferguson and her son.He is survived by his wife Mary; children Ann Yakimovicz and husband Steve Miller, Frank Yakimovicz and wife Jill, Carole Johnson and husband Don, Ron Ferguson and wife Karen; grandchildren William, Abigail, Conner, Aaron and Blake; and sisters Trudy and Mary.A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at 11:00 am at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 1400 E. Owens St. in Show Low, Arizona. Interment and a graveside service will follow on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas. Arrangements were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.The family wished to express their appreciation to all of the physicians and staff of Haven of Show Low, St. Rita's Catholic Church, and friends near and far.
