Ross Lupe of Whiteriver, Navajo County, Arizona passed away on December 28, 2015 at the Gilbert Hospital in Gilbert, Maricopa County, Arizona. He was 44. Ross was born to Russell Lupe Sr. and Annabelle (Lavender) Lupe on February 7, 1971 in Whiteriver, Arizona. Ross grew up the first part of his life in Cibecue, Arizona before moving to Whiteriver in 1975 with his family because of an employment opportunity for his parents. They started off in the old apartment complex north of the Whiteriver hospital and then moving to one step beyond finally settling in the FATCO housing area. He attended Kindergarten, Elementary, Jr. High and High School in Whiteriver. Ross started working with a slashing company in Heber, Arizona in 1991 and worked a seasonal job with the Swiff crew until 1995. Then, from 1997 to the end of 1999 he was employed with Sonny Earl’s logging Company. He started off as a slash crew member, then went on to supervise the slash crew. From there he went to a landing man, and from there to choke setter, then brush pile operator and finally log cutter. He is survived by his sons, Robby Lupe, Austin Hinton and Keshawn Ross Dazen; daughter, Kristy Cody Lupe; 5 grandchildren; mother, Annabelle Lupe; brothers, Randy Lupe, Russell Lupe Jr. (Jeanine Vadovich) and sister, Jodi Whipkey DeFrank.He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Lupe Sr and a sister, Cindy Lupe.A two night wake will begin 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the family home, 1002 S. Benashley Rd., Whiteriver. A home service will begin 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 8, 2016 with the interment to follow in the Lupe Family Cemetery in Cibecue, Arizona.
