Candace Moore

October 11, 1950 — November 21, 2015

Candace (Candy) Elvera Marsh-Moore, age 65, passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on November 21, 2015 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born in Grand Rapids on October 11, 1950 and her family later relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. She married Kenneth Moore in 1989 and the two of them raised seven sons together; Shane, Piet, Kevin, Jason, Joey, and Rusty (deceased). Candy is survived by two older sisters, Barbara June, and Betty Jean, and older brother, Karl Junior, a younger sister, Pamela and younger brothers, Bruce and Timothy Avilla. She is also survived by six sons, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three daughters-in-law; Amanda, Missy, Jessica, and best friend of 50 years, Ann. Candy was a special spirit, like a willow in the wind. She spent her later years traveling in her red car with the license plates “Syndrla” to spend time with her family. She lived by the motto “Having a place to go is home, having someone to love is family, and having both is a blessing.” She lived like a nomad and believed “not all who wander are lost”. A public visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Owens Livingston Mortuary, 84 E. 19 S., in Snowflake. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4th, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Pioneer Park Chapel, 421 N. Main St., in Snowflake. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior. She will be buried next to her mother, Viola Avilla, in the R.V. “Mike” Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, Arizona.
