Robin Rae Havins, 64, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2015 in Lakeside, Arizona. Born in 1951 to Bill and Betty Jo Penny in Yuma, Arizona, Robin is survived by her husband of forty-one years, T.T., children Jake (April), and Sarah (Steve), and six grandchildren, Jacob, Keegan, Maddie, Francie, Joe, and Ben. Growing up with three younger brothers, Billy, Jeff, and John, and lots of cousins, Robin gained a strength that would serve her well throughout her life. As a child, she began a love affair with baseball, attending Dodger games with her cousin Kim. After marrying T.T., she began her career teaching Special Education and then later fourth grade at Alice Byrne where she had attended as a child. Robin loved to travel and could often be found running early in the morning before her family was awake. When she lost the ability to run or travel, Robin poured her competitive energy into rooting for her beloved Diamondbacks. She quite literally never missed a game. Diagnosed twenty years ago with Multiple Sclerosis, Robin's fierceness and determination to live life on her terms never waivered. Never complaining, her grace, humor, and mental fortitude allowed her to manage the disease on her terms. MS had never met a more formidable opponent. Robin will be missed so very much by all those that knew and loved her. A memorial service is planned for noon on November 13th at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, 1681 South 6th Avenue in Yuma, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Accord Hospice of the White Mountains, 5658 Highway 260, Suite 9, Lakeside, AZ 85929.
