Kathryn Susan McCormac, of Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 11, 2015 in Show Low after a brave and courageous battle with lung cancer. She was 64. Kathy was born to her parents the late, Jesse E. and Margret Nell (Brown) Orrison on April 6, 1951 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona. Kathy was born and raised in Tucson having attended and graduating from Palo Verde High School in 1969. She worked for the Tagra Bar inside the Air National Guard for many years before her retirement in 1997. Kathy was a very generous soul and making people happy was her greatest reward in life to know her was to love her. She had an absolute love for her family and she always made sure that they came first. Always one to enjoy an amazing sunset, she loved living in the beauty of the White Mountains she called home. An amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend she will be dearly missed by all those she loved. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Dan) Jensen of Show Low, Arizona; sons, Tim (Heather) Plumb of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Jeff Plumb of Tucson, Arizona; step-children, Jason McCormac of Las Vegas, Nevada and Eric McCormac of Phoenix, Arizona; 10 grandchildren: Drake, Scott, Alyssa, Arianna, Ethan, Xander, Destiny, Ben, Eli, and Max; brother, Wayne (Phyllis) Orrison of Rockford, Illinois; sister-in-law, Sherri Thayer of Virginia as well as many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris McCormac in January 2015 and a brother, Steve Orrison. In true "Kathy" spirit her body was donated to the University of Tucson Body Donor Program for the advancement of medicine. No services are planned but Kathy's wishes were that those who would like drink a beer for her in celebration of a life well lived.
