A two night wake will begin at her home on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Kyra was also known as "Littleflower" or "Flower". She was born on May 22, 1990, in Showlow, Arizona to Edwin Johnson and the late Patricia Ann (Lupe) Johnson. She is survived by her husband Floyd Kinney and her twenty-two month old daughter Kitty Rebecca Ann Kinney. She is also survived by immediate family members Grandfather Callis Lupe, her father Edwin Johnson, her sister Leia Tennille Johnson, brothers Dustinn Craig, Nephi Craig, Shiloh-Vincent Craig and Aunt/Mother Mariddie J. Craig plus many relatives. She was preceded in death by her late mother Patricia Ann (Lupe) Johnson, her sister Brandon Tia Johnson, her grandmother Shirlene Whitehead Lupe, and her Uncle/Adoptive Father the late Vincent Craig. She was the great granddaughter of the late Joseph C. Ivins. Flower graduated from Alchesay High School in 2008 and became a tribal Ambassador as Miss White Mountain Apache 2011-2012. Her love for children, health, music, movies, art, cooking, baking, reading, writing, basketball, fishing, woodcutting and horses brought her considerable joy. Flower had an ability to give, love, share, and sacrifice for others to be happy. She was an amazing young woman with an exemplary demonstration of loving her family, relatives, friends and her church. In 2013/2014 she was called to serve the Lord as a second Counselor in the Fort Apache Branch Young Women's organization. Guiding and leading young women in Church brought her happiness and love for those she served. One of the finest attribute Kyra exemplified was being a great mother to her baby Kitty Rebecca Ann. She sang, danced, read, played and shared her sense of humor with her daughter in the most loving manner. Kyra had a lot of patience, love, and understanding for her baby Kitty Rebecca Ann. Her love for her husband was also eternal. Flower had plans to be married and sealed to her family in the Snowflake Temple for all time and eternity. Kyra is remembered by many as the "Sunbekisha" (God-daughter) of 2004, when the late renowned Medicine Man Ryan Burnette retired upon completion of his final Sunrise Dance Ceremony he conducted for "Little Flower". Her love for the Apache Culture and her God Parents Anthony and Gwen Bahe were treasures in her life. A tribute from one of her friends summarizes who Kyra was: "She was beautiful, but not like those girls in the magazines. She was beautiful, for the way she thought. She was beautiful for that sparkle in her eyes when she talked about something she loved. She was beautiful for her ability to make other people smile even if she was sad. No she wasn't beautiful for something as temporary as her looks, she was beautiful deep down to her soul." Kyra's love for all in life are forever treasured in our hearts. We will miss her deeply. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ft. Apache Branch Chapel. Burial will follow at the Golden Gorge Cemetery in Ft. Apache, Arizona.
