Alberta Gray

November 23, 1925 — September 18, 2015

Alberta "Bertie" Gray passed away on September 18, 2015. She was born on November 23, 1925 in Byers, Colorado, and was the third of eight children. The family moved to Littleton Colorado where she attended Littleton High School. She owned and operated Woodlawn Beauty College. Throughout her life she had many jobs and was an artistic, creative lady. She lived an exciting , fun-filled life with her husband, Artie, and traveled and lived life to the fullest. Bertie was a strong woman in mind, body and soul; in family, love and faith. She survived her husband, Artie, the love of her life, who passed in 1999. Bertie was living with her daughter Donna and son-in-law Johne in Show Low, Arizona, where she lived for the last ten years of her life. Bertie passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends and will be greatly missed. She is survived by one sister, Ruby Bates; one daughter, Donna Bader; son-in-law, Johne Bader,; step daughter, Jackie Yancy; three grandchildren, Mike Howell, Jack Howell, & Wesley Howell; and many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and many wonderful friends and neighbors. Her family is thankful for the expressions of sympathy they have received during this difficult time and are especially grateful for all of the prayers offered up in their behalf. A Memorial Service will be held at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St. Show Low, Arizona on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
